Piston fountain pen with 18-K/750 gold nib. Body made of cellulose acetate, diamond finished precious resin and brass.

Suitable for medium to large hand sizes (length 14.7 cm with and 13.5 cm without cap). With a diameter of 1.41 cm on the body a wide writing instrument, in the recessed grip the diameter is between 1.3 cm and 1.1 cm due to the conical shape. The ideal grip position is close to the thread of the spring in the recessed grip. Weight class heavier (weight with cap 32.6 g, without cap 24 g). The capacity of the piston mechanism is 1.35 ml.

The centre of gravity of the filler is in the rear area. Very durable and stable piston mechanism. Three years warranty from the manufacturer. The nib is replaced on site, including the ink feeder.

The M 1000 is the crowning achievement of the Souverän series. The handcrafted gold nib with rhodium decor has a length of 2.7 cm, making it the largest gold nib of any high-quality fountain pen from Pelikan.

The writing behaviour is excellent - soft, responsive and very good ink flow.

In addition to the gold nib, the size of the writing instrument is also exceptional. With a length of 14.7 cm (with closed cap) and a diameter of 14.1 mm, the fountain pen is very comfortable to hold.
