We, Fritz Schimpf, have always pursued the objective of offering our customers the writing instrument that best fits their handwriting and hand. We particularly value fountain pens and their ability to positively influence handwriting and provide a special writing comfort. Whereas the variety of shapes of the writing instruments almost always makes it possible to find the right instrument for your hand, the variety of springs has unfortunately declined considerably. Based on our experience from consultation meetings, we have long cherished the desire to bring back the previously existing variety of nibs in order to be able to offer everyone the perfect nib for their handwriting. Thanks to the cooperation with a spring grinder, we have now succeeded in doing this again to a certain extent. Our Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Chevron special edition Italic 50 is equipped with an Italic nib in the medium to wide range. This Italic nib, ground according to our specifications, is based on the rhodium-plated 18-K Gold Standard B nib from Graf von Faber-Castell. Thanks to our selected spring grinding, the nib offers different stroke widths between horizontal and vertical strokes. Due to these different stroke widths, Italic nibs emphasize the individual characteristics of each handwriting and create a unique and unmistakable typeface. Thanks to the selected line widths, the vertical line width is approx. 1.0 mm and the horizontal line width approx. 0.30 mm, our Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Chevron special edition Italic 50 fountain pen ideal for medium and large font sizes. The writing characteristics of the nib are exceptional. It glides gently over the paper in any direction and offers a wide comfort range for an Italic nib. Whether the term Soft Italic or Cursive Italic is the more appropriate, we leave to the individual assessment of each one. We call it Fritz Schimpf Italic Schliff. The Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Chevron special edition Italic 50 fountain pen is offered in a special gift box with a free Graf von Faber-Castell ink glass in the colour of your choice. The spring can be identified by the engravings on the spring shoulders. On the left side "Italic 50" is engraved and on the right side "Fritz Schimpf".
