The Toledo 700 is based on the Souverän M 400 piston fountain pen. The body and the cap are made of sterling silver, cellulose acetate with gold-plated decorative rings and clip.

The nib is made of 18-K/750 gold. The Toledo 700 is suitable for small to medium hand sizes (length 12.7 cm with and 12.1 cm without cap). With a diameter of 11.7 mm on the body, it is a rather slim writing instrument, in the recessed grip the diameter is between 0.9 cm and 1.1 cm due to the conical shape.

The ideal grip position is close to the thread of the spring in the recessed grip. Weight class Medium (weight with cap 21g, without cap 16g). The capacity of the piston mechanism is 1.35 ml. The centre of gravity of the filler is in the rear area. Due to the relief surface created by the damasking, the Toledo lies very comfortably in the hand.

The delivery period is approximately five to ten working days.

The piston fountain pen Toledo M700 is a work of art and an excellent writing instrument. Introduced by Pelikan in 1931, the design has remained almost unchanged to this day.

It's based on the art of damasking. This is thousands of years old and consists of applying decorations to steel or iron objects by embossing a thin gold foil into the surface. This technique was carried by Arabs to Spain and perfected there over the centuries, especially in the Spanish city of Toledo.

The decorative coat of the Toledo is made of one piece in 925 sterling silver and is then treated several times before the motif is covered with a layer of gold.

Each Toledo writing instrument is unique in Germany, as the feathers of the Pelikan in particular contain hand-stitched details.
