Rollerballs
Developed in the 1960s in Japan, rollerballs are the more modern writing instruments in the market.
The water based ink is distributed, same as in a ballpoint, through a little ball in the tip of the refill. As well as fountain pens, most rollerballs need a cap to protect the refill from drying up.
Quick and easy writing without pressure are the advantages of the rollerballs. The fact that no pressure is needed makes the rollerball more agreeable and less tiering to the hand compared to a classic biro.
